Jeffrey Alan ("Hairy") Hosack, 58, of U.S. 322, Franklin died at 8:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at his residence. Born April 11, 1956 in Meadville, PA, Jeffrey was the son of Gary Alan Hosack and Mary E. (Hiles) Alabaugh. Jeffrey was raised and at one time lived in Chicora, PA. He was a graduate of Karns City High School and attended two years of technical school. He was self-employed as a brick and block layer.He is survived by his mother, Mary E. Alabaugh of Frankin; his step-father, Ivan Alabaugh of Franklin; his step-mother, Nancy Hosack of Oil City; sisters, Diana Kachik and her husband, Albert of Franklin and Connie Westfall and her husband, William of Franklin; half-sister, Sherry Vogan and her husband, Dan of Oil City; and step-brothers, Ivan Wike and his wife, Lana of Utah and Jerry Wike and his wife, Jolene of Hawaii.Jeffrey is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Amy Hosack of DuBois, PA, Shawn Nolan and his wife, Michelle of Butler, Shane Nolan and his wife, Amanda of Zelienople, and Madison Vogan of Oil City; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Alan Hosack and his infant brother, Michael Hosack.Services for Mr. Hosack are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.In Jeffrey's memory, memorial donations may be made to the Venango County Humane Society, P.O.
