Charles E. Bean, 71, of 625 Liberty Street ,Franklin died at 9:16 AM ,May 20, 2013 at UPMC-Northwest Seneca. Born July 13, 1941 in Franklin, Charles was the son of the late Howard and Violet (Russell) Bean. On May 10, 1971 he married Sally Lingler, who survives. Charles was employed as a truck driver for several different trucking companies. He loved playing cards with his family and playing bingo. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife of 42 years, Charles is survived by his son, Charles Howard Bean of Denver, CO; his step-sons, Gerald Slagle Jr of Kittanning, and Joey Slagle of Denver, CO; his step-daughters, Kathy Rial and her husband, Craig, of Franklin, and Janey Severo of Rocky Grove; his brother, Wilson Bean and his wife, Shirley, of Franklin; his step-grandchildren, Kaycee Lesher and her husband Dan, Craig Rial Jr., Cody Rial and his wife, Katie, Sage Slagle, Jordan, Mallory, and Joshua Severo; his step-great-grandsons, Ethan, Evan, and Emerson Lesher; a step-great-grandaughter due in July, Kambree Rial; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are three daughters, one granddaughter, and two great-grandsons to a previous marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Richard, John, Ike, and Frances Bean; his sister, Ethel Host; and a step-grandson, Michael Severo. Friends will be received for a Memorial Gathering at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 12-1 PM . A luncheon will follow the gathering at Moreford Hall on Pone Lane in Franklin. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, PA Division Inc., PO Box 896, Hershey, PA, 17033-0896. I’m so sorry that Uncle Charlie passed away, and am sorry that I can’t attened the memorial. He will be missed by all who knew him.
