Wilbur R. McClelland Wilbur R. McClelland, 82, of 354 Camp Wilbea Road, Franklin, passed away Sunday evening, May 27, 2012 after an extended illness A son of the late Aaron and Grace Smith McClelland, Wilbur was born May 17, 1930 in Bullyhill, Franklin. He was a 1948 graduate of Franklin High School. Mr. McClelland was a Korean War Veteran, having served from 1952 to 1953, with the 3rd Infantry Divison. He was a Purple Heart Recipient. He retired from Joy Manufacturing in 1992 after 44 years of service. He was a Christian and a member of the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church. Wilbur enjoyed reading, golf, fishing, and collecting various things. Mr. McClelland is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Stevenson McClelland, of 58 years. He is also survived by his son, Tim McClelland of Dempseytown; three grandchildren, Aaron R. McClelland and Evan L. McClelland, of Dempseytown, and Kristin E. Wentworth and her husband, Zak; and two great-grandchildren, Lauralie and Addison Wentworth. Wilbur is additionally survived by his three sisters, his twin, Wilda McClelland, Marjorie Keller, and Phyllis McClelland; his brother-in-law, Robert McElhinney; and his sister-in-law, Peggy McClelland. In addition to his parents, Wilbur was preceded in death by an infant son, Terry McClelland; two brothers, Wayne and Glenn McClelland; his sister, Doris McElhinney; and his brother-in-law, Bill Keller. Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Thursday, May 31, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, June 1 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gary Small, pastor of the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church, officiating.
