James Julian Nicklin James Julian Nicklin, 65, of Otter Street, Franklin, passed away at his residence at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2011. Born May 24, 1945 in Franklin, James was the son of the late Paul Julian and Bernice Beers Nicklin. He was married to the former Mary Nancy Crane on September 24, 1977, and she survives. James was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. He worked for Heatcraft Refrigeration for many years as a Product Specialist. He and his wife have been the owners/operators of the Lamberton House Bed and Breakfast in Franklin for the past 9 years. James was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1020, a member of the Franklin Eagles, a member of V.F.W. Post #1842, a member of the Franklin Moose, a member of B.P.O.E. #110, a member of the American Legion Stroudsburg Post, and a member of Isaac Walton. He enjoyed competitive shooting, hiking, and cooking. He most of all enjoyed the times he spent with his family, especially at the family camp in Kelletville. In addition to his wife, James is survived by his brothers, Joseph Eugene NIcklin and his wife, Barbara, of Snug Harbor, North Carolina, William Francis Nicklin, and Richard Paul Nicklin and his wife, Darla, all of Franklin; and his sisters, Anna Marie Black of Prospect, Theresa Nicklin White of Ashville, North Carolina, and Mary Jean Smith of Wister, Oklahoma. He is additionally survived bynumerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; and his poodle, Bella. James was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Bernice Nicklin; and his brother, John William Nicklin. Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Thursday, March 31, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake Service will be held on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass for James will be held on Friday, April 1 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, with Msgr. John Herbein, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the V.E.T. S. Honor Guard.
