Dale F. Hefferman Dale F. Hefferman, 82, of Railroad Street, Franklin, passed away at 9:25 a.m. on Sunday, December 11, at Sugar Creek Station, where he had resided for the past eight months. Born in Venango County on April 12, 1929, Dale was the son of the late Fred A. and Elizabeth Sutton Hefferman. He was married May 21, 1954 to the former Wanda Lee Crawford, and she survives. He worked for 21 years at Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company as a machinist ,and was retired from the PA Railroad in Mercer, where he had worked as a machinist fixing railroad cars. He also worked in the Oil Well Supply industry for 2 years. After his retirement, Dale worked at Shop-n-Save, in Franklin. Dale was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a Jehovah Witness by faith, and enjoyed people. In addition to his wife, Dale is survived by his daughters, Sherry Lee Hays and her husband, Donald, of Franklin; Mary Kay Boughton and her husband, James, of Warren; and Lisa Lynn Crawford and her husband, Randy, of Taneytown, Maryland. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Tim, Katie, Cade and Connor; his two nieces, Sally Moses and Lindi VanHorn; and his two nephews, Gordon and Donny Hefferman. Dale was preceded death by his parents; his brothers, Donald, James, and Eugene Hefferman; his half-brother, David Ace; and his sister, Opal Dodge. Family and friends will be received at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses following visitation, with J.R. Holabacugh, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery. The Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1410 Pittsburgh Road, Franklin, PA 16323 and/or Sugar Creek Station, 351 Causeway Drive, Franklin PA 16323.
