Donald William Blankenship Donald William Blankenship, age 63, of Crofton, Kentucky, passed away 4:44 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Caldwell County Medical Center, of natural causes. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville, KY, with Rev. Glenn Farmer officiating. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 in Franklin, PA at Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street. Burial will follow in Brandon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home and also from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16 at the Gardinier Funeral Home. Mr. Blankenship was born June 28, 1948, in Christian County, Kentucky, the son of the late William T. and Mary Henderson Blankenship. He owned and operated D.J. Tire Company since 1989. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran, where he received a Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Morris in 2011; a son, Timothy Morris in 1986; and a sister, Rachael Brown in 2012. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jane Best Blankenship of Crofton, KY; a daughter, Vickie Law-Wells of Hopkinsville, KY; a step-daughter, Deb Bigley, of Pennsylvania; a son, Sidney Clark of Hopkinsville, KY; two brothers, Charles Blankenship of Hopkinsville, KY and William Blankenship of Cadiz; three sisters, Linda Croley of Hopkinsville, KY, Lorretta Taylor of Cadiz, and Molly Banazak of Texas; and 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
