Virginia "Tootie" Caroline Malone Virginia "Tootie" Caroline Malone, 85, of Franklin, passed away at 1:13 p.m. at her residence on Thursday, December 29. Born July 29, 1926 in Grafton, West Virginia, Tootie, was the daughter of the late Ward Lyman and Elsie Torie Poe Wine. She was a homemaker and end excellent cook. Tootie was a great mother to her twelve children, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the times she spent with them. Tootie is survived by her sons, Richard William Malone and his wife, Marie, of Clarion; Jack Lee Malone and his wife, Carmen, of Oil City; Donald Ray Malone of Franklin; Jerry Wayne Malone and his wife, Kay, of Orlando, Florida; Ira Michael Malone of Franklin; Terry Randall Malone and his wife, Bonnie, of Franklin; and Chris Malone and his wife, Marge, of Franklin. She is also survived by her daughters, Sandra Powell of Franklin; and Tina Arnold and her husband, Greg, of Union City. Tootie was additionally survived by her great-nephew, Carl Poling of Grafton, West Virginia; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Tootie was preceded in death by her brothers, Ira Lake and Arnold Lake; her infant daughter, Cheryl Ann, and her two sons, Bert Charles and Gary Paul. Family and friends of Tootie will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Monday, January 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 3 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Mark Rusnak, Chaplain of Ascera Care Hospice, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Garden. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Ascera Care Hospice, 1600 Peninsula Drive, Ste. 14, Erie PA 16505 and/or the Alzheimer's Association, NW PA Chapter, 110 West 10th Street, Ste. 212, Erie PA 16501.
