Pauline M. Thompson Pauline M. Thompson, 82, of Oakland Township, Cooperstown, passed away at 2:30 a.m., Sunday, May 15, 2011, at The Caring Place. Born in Franklin on October 29, 1928, Pauline was the daughter of the late Bert and Ethel Beggs Frankenberger. She was married to Richard L. Thompson on October 16, 1968, and he preceded her in death in February 2011. Pauline was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lady Rebekka Lodge and enjoyed gardening. Pauline is survived by her two children, Larry Thompson and his wife, Jane, of Dempseytown, and Gail Baker and her husband, Vernon Lee, of Carlton; and her step-children, Gary Thompson and his special friend, Donna Puleio, of Cooperstown, Kathleen Plyler and her husband, David, of Dempseytown, and Linda Prichard and her husband, Loren, of Harborcreek. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren Virginia Kellogg and her husband, David, of Dempseytown, Ron Thompson and his wife, Michelle, of Franklin, Nicholas Thompson and his wife, Jonelle, and Randall Thompson and his wife, Kandi, all of Oil City, Scott Prichard and his wife, Kerry, of Harborcreek, Jeffrey Prichard of Bloomsburg, Jill Rathburn and her husband, Scott, of Erie, Jennifer Prichard and her husband, Tom Clark, of Lewis Center, Ohio, Michael Plyler of Dempseytown, Sara Temple and her husband, Bill, of Waterford, David Plyler, Jr. and his wife, Heather, of Slippery Rock, and Ryan R. Thompson of Dempseytown, ; and thirty-two great-grandchildren. She is additionally survived by her two brothers, Thomas Frankenberger and his wife, Karen, of California, and Charles Frankenberger, Jr. and his wife, Lori, of Franklin; and his sister, Doris Mae Longstreth of North Dakota. In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Talmadge Thompson; and her three brothers, Melvin (Buster) Frankenberger, Robert Frankenberger, and Gilbert Frankenberger. Family and friends of Pauline will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Tuesday, May 17, from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 18 from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral Services for Pauline will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 18 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Edward Saxman, pastor of the Oakland United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department, Cooperstown, PA 16317.
