Franklin Charles Lloyd Franklin Charles Lloyd, 85, of Lamberton Street, Franklin, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on February 11, 2011 at Sugar Creek Station, where he had resided for the past several months. Born December 21, 1925 in Conway, Pennsylvania, Beaver County, Frank was the son of the late Arthur S. and Marie V. Brooks Lloyd. He married the former Marian Ruffing on October 16, 1945 and she preceded him in death on August 30, 2008. Frank moved to Franklin in February 1961, and worked as Assistant Manager for the Wonder Bread Agency until 1972. He worked as a special maintenance products salesman for Pioneer Manufacturing Company prior to his retirement in 1992. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Franklin. He had been a member of the Sugarcreek Boro Zoning Hearing Board and was an "a.m. Mall Walker". Mr. Lloyd is survived by his children, Dennis C. Lloyd and his wife, Joyce, of Painsville, Ohio, Thomas M. Lloyd of Franklin, Karen Lynde and her husband, Gary, of Franklin, and Susan Forse and her husband, William, of Bridge City, Texas; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents and his wife, Frank was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur E. Lloyd, Charles F. Lloyd and Howard S. Lloyd; his sisters, Estella Baker, Lois Gallagher and Elizabeth Baker; and his grandson, David Lynde. Family and friends of Mr. Lloyd will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Monday, February 14, from 3 to 7 p.m. A Christian Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Services for Mr. Lloyd will held at St. Patrick Church on Tuesday, February 15 at 11 a.m. with Msgr. John Herbein as celebrant. Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Patrick Food Pantry and/ or the St. Patrick Building Fund, 949 Liberty Street, Franklin PA 16323.
