Eleanor (Ruby) Vogus Eleanor (Ruby) Vogus, 75, of 733 Liberty Street, Franklin, passed away at 12:06 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born June 28, 1935, in Meadville, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Ralph C. and Irene M. Orr-Wilmouth Watt. She was married to William H. Vogus on May 1, 1956 and he survives. Eleanor was a member of the Women of the Moose in Franklin, the Franklin Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, and was also a social member of the Franklin V.F.W. She enjoyed cooking, baking and yard sales. The love of her life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Eleanor is survived by her son, David H. Vogus and his wife, Pam, of Franklin, and her daughter, Rhonda A. Sala and her husband, Roger, of Meadville. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Misty and Amanda Vogus of Franklin, Jennifer Stivanson and her husband, Jason, of Gulfport, Mississippi, Stacey Sala of Meadville, Zachary Vogus of Illinois, William Vogus of Utica, Michael Merkens of Ft. Drum, New York, and Elizabeth McKelvey and her husband, William, of Warren, Ohio; and her six great-grandchildren, Donald and Raelyn Stivanson of Gulfport, Mississippi, Seth Hickman of Meadville, River and Rainbow Vogus of Franklin, and Devin Umstead of Franklin. Additionally, Eleanor is survived by her two brothers, Rev. William C. Watt and his wife, Kay, of Earl, Arkansas, and Ronald J. Watt and his wife, Mary, of Greenville; and her sister, Wanda J. Skiff of Greenville. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her son, William R. Vogus; and her two brothers, Ralph and Walter Watt. Family and friends of Eleanor will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Saturday, December 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. Interment will be in Peters Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Franklin Salvation Army - 737 Elk Street, Franklin Pa 16323.
