Isabelle Polito Isabelle Polito, 93, a resident of Franklin for 40 years, died at 5:20 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Christ the King Manor Nursing Home in DuBois, PA, where she had been a resident for the past two years. Born January 7, 1917, in Valier, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Eva Wagner Zelonis. She was married December 13, 1937 to Samuel N. Polito, who preceded her in death. She had worked for several years as a Clerk for the Thrift Drug Store in Franklin. She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Franklin, Pa. Mrs. Polito is survived by her two sons, Robert A. Polito and his wife, Judy of Brockway and Samuel E. Polito and his wife, Frances of Franklin; her sister, Helen Behrendt of Punxsutawney; and eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Polito was preceded in death by a grandson, Ernie Polito; her sisters, Julia Bell, Mary Zelonis and Ann Zelonis; her brother, Joseph Zelonis; and her son, Theodore P. Polito. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday, March 1 at the Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA. A Christian Wake Service for Mrs. Polito will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1 at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with Father Tom Aleksa as celebrant.   1. Isabelle always had a smile on her face when she waited on her customers, or greeted them. I remember when I first moved to Franklin & had my prescriptions transferred from Oil City to there, I would find something else to buy before I left & usually had Isabelle to wait on me. May the Lord watch over your family over this time of loss. Heaven’s just gained another wonderful Angel.
