Florence Virginia Seber VannAusdall Florence Virginia Seber VannAusdall's beautiful heart gave out on Saturday, January 2, 2010 in her home in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, with her husband of 67 years, Joseph S. VannAusdall, by her side. She was born December 31, 1921 in Jackson Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, to Christopher H. and Anna Mary McDaniel Seber, both who are deceased. She was married to Joseph S. VannAusdall on December 9, 1942 at the Christian Missionary Church in Franklin. She was a passionate gardener, having been raised on a farm in Cooperstown with her brothers, Charles and Albert Seber, and her sisters, Martha Seber and Mary Seber Billings, all of whom are deceased. She traveled extensively with her husband, Joseph, and their two children, Cynthia and Joseph. Wherever they lived, she always provided a wonderful home, no matter what the challenges were. After Joseph retired from the Army, they settled in Alamogordo, New Mexico and lived there for 35 years. In 2005, Florence and Joseph relocated to Kentucky. Her son, Joseph and his wife, Kathleen Smith, still reside in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Florence had a wonderful curiosity, which led her into family history research. She was an inactive member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). In addition to her children, Florence is survived by several nieces and nephews, and a special family friend, Alicia Schram of San Antonio, Texas. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, Pennsylvania.
