Harold L. Kightlinger, 78, of 153 Miller Road, Franklin died at 6:50 AM, June 21, 2009 after entering hospice care at UPMC Northwest Hospital in Seneca. Harold was born in Diamond, PA on June 7, 1931. Mr. Kightlinger was married June 8, 1957 to Louise Shope who survives. Harold graduated from Colestock High School in Titusville, was employed at Struthers Wells in Titusville, then Franklin Steel for 31 years. When he retired, he was working with the Production Shear Crew in Shipping Department. Mr. Kightlinger was an active member of Fox Street Church of God in Rocky Grove and participated in the weekly Promise Builders men's group, Silver Foxes seniors group, and other church activities. Harold enjoyed several hobbies including: lawn care, cars, carpentry work, traveling (especially to Florida in the winter) and, playing cards with friends and family (especially grandchildren). In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children and their spouses; Rev. Randy Kightlinger and wife Sharon of Cooperstown and, Lori Ziegler and husband Gary of Kane. He had four grandchildren;, Michenzie Kightlinger and his wife Mandy of Chesapeake, VA, Ashley Kightlinger of Cooperstown and her fiancee, Rev. Robert McGuire of Meadville., and Seth and Brittany Ziegler of Kane. Also surviving is a daughter from a previous marriage, her husband, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Preceding him in death are his parents; Lloyd and Eva Smith Kightlinger, two sisters and their spouses; Florence Emick and her husband Clayton and, Lena Marsh and her husband Gerald. Friends may call at Gardinier Funeral Home Wednesday, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00. The funeral service will be at Fox Street Church of God, 229 Fox Street in Rocky Grove at 11:00 on Thursday, with the Rev. Lonny Wolford, pastor of the Fox Street Church of God officiating.
