Alene Robison, 93, of 1477 Keely Road, Franklin, formerly of Buttermilk Hill, died at 9:15 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2009, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born May 7, 1916, in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Blake Harkless and Winifred Vail. She was married May 4, 1938, to Frederic (Fred) Robison, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Robison was a 1934 graduate of Franklin High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Brethren in Christ Church on Atlantic Avenue, where she also served as pianist. Mrs. Robison also played piano for the Luper Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by her two children, Howard E. Robison and wife, Nancy, of Franklin and Marilyn F. Anderson and husband, Jack, of Erie and five grandchildren, Eric Anderson and wife, Mary, of Plainfield, Ill., Leslie Raper and husband, Bill, of Black Mountain, N.C., Bryn Claypoole and husband, Ashley, of Girard, David Jones and wife, Linnea, of Shippensburg and Scott Jones and wife, Ladona, of Duffnack Springs, Fla. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Madison and Aubrey Anderson of Plainfield, Ill., Ian and Zoe McVay and Lyric Raper of Black Mountain, N.C., Megan Henry, Jacob Lozowski and Travis Claypoole of Girard, Emily and Amanda Jones of Shippensburg and Brianne and Alysis Jones of Duffnack Springs, Fla. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Darwin Lee Robison; a sister, Louise Mong; and a brother-in-law, Rollie Mong. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Gardinier Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Small, pastor of the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church, officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Hill Memorial Garden.
