Eleanor M McChesney

Eleanor M. McChesney, 81, of 103 North 13th St., Franklin, died at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, at The Caring Place in Franklin. Born April 21, 1927, in Franklin, she was the daughter of William S. Phillips and Goldie E. Hepler. She was married Sept. 30, 1950, to Robert A. McChesney, who survives. Mrs. McChesney worked as a practical nurse for Polk Center. She also worked at Fairview State Hospital in California. She was a member of Victory Heights United Brethren in Christ Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. McChesney is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. McChesney was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Paul Phillips and David Phillips; and two sisters, Dorothy and Ruth. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Henry assisted by the Rev. Ray Crawford, both of Victory Heights United Brethren in Christ Church, officiating.
