Fred L. Coast, Jr., 65, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at the UPMC Northwest Hospital in Seneca.Born on May 28, 1953 in Stoneboro, he was the son of the late Fred L., Sr. and Bertha V. (Anderson) Coast.Fred worked at the Voices of Independence institution as a general laborer for most of his life.In his spare time, Fred was a social man and was know to be very friendly and kind. He liked animals and very much enjoyed all of his family reunions. Fred especially cherished the time he got to spend with the children of the family, especially his nieces and nephews.Fred is survived by his brothers, Robert Sanford of Ohio, Thomas Sanford of Stoneboro, and Clarence M. Sanford; his sisters, Linda Lewis and her husband, Gerald, of Mercer, and Catherine Gibbs of York, PA; and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Sanford and Terry Sanford; his infant sister, Alice Jane; and his sister, Joan Coast.In accordance to the family's wishes, there will be no public visitation.
