Rose Marie Bowen, 71, of 151 Peach Street ,Franklin, died on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at UPMC-Northwest Seneca. Born July 5, 1941 in Utica, PA, Rose was the daughter of the late Richard and Thelma (Engles) Clark. On June 22, 1963 she married Clair E. Bowen, and he preceded her in death in 2002. Rose was employed as a Seamstress for 36 years at Miller Equipment. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Church and also attended services at The Caring Place. Rose enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bowen is survived by her daughter Tammy Weaver and her husband, Kenneth, of Franklin; her brother, Manuel A. Clark and wife, Vickie, of Utica; her sister, Martha Nay and her husband, Thomas, of Florida; her grandchildren, Troy Irwin of Seneca, Todd Irwin and his wife, Melanie, of Franklin, and Timothy Irwin and his girlfriend, Ashley Mejia, of Franklin; and her great-grandchildren Dylan Irwin, Shania Irwin, Kaidin Irwin, Dylon Irwin, and Isabella Mejia. She was preceded in death by her husband; her brother, Richard Clark; and her sisters, Goldie Latshaw, and Carol Rihel. Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 3-7 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Arbogast pastor of the Mt. Carmel Church, officiating. Interment will be in Millcreek Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, PA Division Inc., PO Box 896, Hershey, PA 17033-0896.
