Charles T. Cutchall, 70, of State Route 417, Oakland Township, Franklin, died at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at his residence. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Born July 3, 1942 in Franklin, he was the son of the late Phae D. and Martha Ruditis Cutchall. Mr. Cutchall was a Vietnam War Era Veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a retired contractor and worked for numerous telephone companies as a subcontractor across the United States. Most recently he was employed by Thayer. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, and archery. He also belonged to many pool leagues in the area. He was married on September 19, 1998 to the former Carol Shaw, who survives. Also surviving are his 9 children, Charles Cutchall, Thomas Cutchall, Davin Cutchall, Steven Cutchall, Christina Cutchall, Jacquelyn Cutchall, Deanna (Dee Dee) Cutchall, Eve Cutchall, and Jessica Cutchall; 3 step-children, Eric Sterner, Nicolas Sterner, and Elizabeth Sterner; 5 brothers, Lester Cutchall and his wife, Brenda of Illinois, Phae Cutchall, Jr., and his wife, Mabel of New Castle, Jerry Cutchall and his wife, Anita (Jean) of Franklin, Donovan (Zeke) Cutchall of Franklin, and John Cutchall of York, PA; and 5 sisters, Lola Faraguna and her husband, Joe of Florida, Rose Smith and her husband, Ray of Franklin, Joyce Rossman and her husband, Wayne of Franklin, Elizabeth Johnson of York, PA, and Donna Kaltenbaugh and her husband, Owen (Skip) of Franklin. He is additionally survived by his 14 grandchildren, Victoria, Veronica, Vanessa, Misty Dawn, John, Joshua, Jeremy, Tom, Alek, Alan, Ashlee, Aden, Jimmy, and Baylee; 2 step-grandchildren, Alan Sterner and Alison Sterner; 4 great-grandchildren; his first wife, Connie Cutchall; and a dear family friend, Heidi Boitnott. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ralph Cutchall and Kenny Cutchall. Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 3-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 2656 Route 417, Franklin, with the Rev. Joseph P. Martin, Jr., officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard. Interment will take place in Bethel Cemetery. The family suggests that memorials be made to AsceraCare Hospice, 1600 Peninsula Drive, Suite 14, Erie, PA 16505.     I am so sorry to here about Charlie’s passing. I did not know him well but the few times I did speak with him he seemed like a very kind and caring man.
