Charlotte Ruth O'Neil, 64, of Oil City, passed away unexpectedly at 12:08 a.m. on Thursday April 3, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.Born in Franklin on October 24, 1949, Charlotte was the daughter of Frank James and Ruth Irene Kilgore O'Neil.Charlotte was a 1968 graduate of Oil City High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, making crafts, gardening and spending time with her friends. She especially cherished the times she spent with her family.Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Crystal Karasinski and her husband, Richard, of Oil City, and Bonita Howe and her special friend, Chris King, of Oil City; her fiance', John Moriarty of Oil City; and her 7 grandchildren, Christopher Huff, Autum Huff, Christopher Howe, Jr., Bethany Srock, Brandon Mortimer, Brenda Show, and Andrew King. Charlotte is also survived by her brothers, Robert Kilgore and his wife, Kathy, of Florida, Floyd O'Neil and his wife, Sue, of Franklin, and Tom O'Neil and his wife, Deb, of Cochranton; and her sister, Doris O'Neil and her special friend, Tom Powers, of Oil City.She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Pauline Neely.Family and friends of Charlotte will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Monday, April 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral Services for Charlotte will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. following visitation, with Pastor Linda Deeter, pastor of The Caring Place, officiating.The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Charlotte's memory to the American Heart Association - PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693.Family and friends of Charlotte are invited to visit www.gardinierfuneralhome.com to send flowers, cards, online condolences, or for further information.
