Laurie L. Moore

Laurie L. Moore of Kay Glenn Drive, Polk passed away at 2:15 p.m. at UPMC-Hamot on Saturday, June 23, 2012. She was born in Franklin, PA on June 28, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Ruby Morrison Moore. She worked at Polk Center as a cook prior to her retirement. Laurie enjoyed pets and was an avid supporter of the Humane Society. Laurie enjoyed her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Laurie is survived by her three daughters; Patricia Kephart and husband Dwight of Polk, Debra Hines, and close friend, Steve, of Mercer, and Lynn Mealy and husband Rick of Tionesta. She is also survived by her grandchildren; David Porter and his son, Logan, of Franklin, Erin Mayes and her husband, Thomas, and son Zachary of Pittsburgh, Shane Hines and his daughter, Cailyn, of Mercer, Heather Mitchell and three children of Erie, and Jennifer Boarts and children Alexis Myers and Tristen Tarr of Barkeyville. In addition to her parents, Laurie was proceeded in death by her son Virgil D. Coogan. In accordance with her wishes there will be no visitation or services. The Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin,PA is handling the arrangements. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, PO Box 1045, Oil City, PA 16301.
