Laurann L. Ripple

Laurann Lacey Simons Ripple, 13, of James Street, Franklin, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. Laurann was born on May 31, 1998, in Titusville, PA and was the daughter of John and Dana Ripple. Also surviving at home are her three sisters; Katherynn Rhea, Hayley Stacey, and Emily Camille Ripple She was a 7th grade student at Rocky Grove High School. Laurann attended the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren In Christ Church. She enjoyed baking, cake decorating, playing the flute, 4H club, drawing, painting, and talking with her friends. She loved the color green. Her friends often called her "Tink" In addition to her parents and sisters, Laurann is survived by her maternal grandparents, Marty Shaffer and her husband Steve of Titusville, her paternal grandmother Alice Ripple of Indiana, PA, and her maternal great-grandparents Wade and Shirley Simons of Oil City. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles; Kerri, Bonnie, Walt, Donnie, Lloyd, Ann, Yvonne, Lauraleen, Larry, and Robert. Laurann was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents Lloyd and Alice Ripple and her aunt Stacy Groves. Family and friends of Laurann will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday February 21, 2012 at Gardiner Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin.
