Richard G. Ream Richard G. Ream, of Polk, passed away at 5:45 p.m., on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born March 27, 1946 in Franklin, Richard was the son of the late Elwood and Esther L. Crawford Ream. He was married to the former Barbara Shull on December 7, 1968. Richard was a United States Airforce Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War Era from 1964 until 1968. He was employed at Joy Manufacturing in the Maintenance Department and retired from there in 1997. Richard was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. He was the Committee Chairperson for Cub Scout Pack #127 located in Wesley, PA. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and his family and was very involved in his grandson's activities. He was also an avid Steeler's and NASCAR fan. Richard is survived by his wife, Barbara; his son Vincent E. Ream and his wife, Sandra, of New Bethlehem; and his two daughters, Dawn Bryan and her husband, Philip, and Nicole Ream, all of Polk; and his grandson, Cody Bryan, also of Polk. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Ream and his wife, Judy, of Polk. Family and friends of Richard will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Monday, September 26, 2011 from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home, on Tuesday, September 27 at 1:30 p.m., with The Rev. Holly Davis, pastor of St. John's Episcopal Church, officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard.
