Catherine "Casimira" Wnuk Krasowski Catherine "Casimira" Wnuk Krasowski, 95, of 1293 Grandview Road, Oil City (formerly of 11 Fairview Avenue), passed away at 2:35 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2010, at the Golden Living Center in Oil City, where she had resided for the past several years. Born March 15, 1915, in Dunkirk, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angela Swiechowicz Wnuk. Mrs. Krasowski attended Assumption Grade School and the Oil City High School. She was married on November 12, 1937 at the Assumption Church to Alex J. Krasowski, who preceded her in death in 1996. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener. She was a member of St. Joseph Church . She was also a member of the "Golden Agers" at Assumption Church, the "Prime Timers" at St. Joseph's Church; and the Altar-Rosary Societies at both the Assumption and St. Joseph Churches. Mrs. Krasowski is survived by her daughters: Nancy Bucheral and her husband, Al, of Erie; Carolyn Kless and her husband, Fred, of Canandaigua, New York; Alexandra Cogan and her husband, Barry, of Grosse Point Park, Michigan; and Francine Krasowska of Silver Spring, Maryland. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren: Angela and Mike Fievet of Glen Allen, Virginia; Anita and Bob Klein of Erie; Alfonce Bucheral Jr. of Erie; Tony and Beth Bucheral of Erie; Amanda Houchins and her husband, David of Goochland, Virginia; Adam Bucheral of Erie; Denise Kelly and her husband, Tim, of Canandaigua, New York; Dr. Kevin Kless of Seattle, Washington; Nicole Cogan and her husband, Anthony Salinas, of Birmingham, Michigan; Michael Cogan and his wife, Maribel, of Katy, Texas; David Cogan and his wife, Stephanie, of Long Beach, California; and Alexandra Spilsbury and Elizabeth Spilsbury, both of Silver Spring, Maryland; and her 14 Great-grandchildren Additionally, she is survived by her brother Stanley Wnuk of Ridgecrest California. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Krasowski was preceded in death by her brothers, Vincent Wnuk, Casmir Wnuk and Frank Wnuk; her sister, Josephine McLaughlin The Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin is in charge of arrangements. There will be no public visitation or viewing. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church in Oil City at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14, with Msgr. John Swoger as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice.
