Richard A. Wingard Richard A. Wingard, 51, of 146 Edwards Avenue, Franklin, passed away at 10:42 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at UPMC Northwest. Born June 13, 1959 in Clarion, he was the son of Guy R. and A. Faye King Wingard. Richard was employed at Joy Manufacturing as an Assemblyman for the past two years. Prior to working there, he had been employed as a truck driver for Van Wormer Trucking and R.K. Virgile Trucking and also as a mechanic for Fisher and Father. He was a member of V.F.W. Jesse Greer Post #1835, the Rainbow Sportsman Club, and Local Union #1842. Richard was an avid hunter, a Pittsburgh Steeler's Fan, and was very enthusiastic about automobile restoration. He was always helping people and most of all enjoyed the time that he spent with his family. Richard is survived by his father, Guy R. Wingard of Polk; his wife, Dorothy Noreen Lampert-Wingard of Franklin; his two sons, Joshua Horton and Michael Pyle, both of Franklin; and his three daughters, Brandi Wingard at home, Ginger Pyle and her special friend, Wes Sanford, of Kennerdell, and Rayleen Lyon and her husband, Michael, of Franklin. He is also survived by his brother, Warren (Renny) Clark and his wife, Lisa, of New Galillee, PA; and his sister, Cynthia R. Wingard, of Franklin. Additionally, Richard is survived by his two nieces, Miranda Swanson and her husband, Ron, of Oil City and Tasha Scarberry and her special friend, Warren Washington, of Franklin; his maternal grandmother, Inez King of Knox; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, A. Faye King Wingard; his two sons, Donald Wingard and Jack Lampert; his paternal grandparents, Jackson and Elizabeth Wingard; and his maternal grandfather, Lawrence King. Friends may call at the Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Wednesday, October 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. Funeral Services for Richard will be held at the Funeral Home following visitation at 5 p.m. Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.
