Debra M. Rockwell Debra M. Rockwell, 59, of 423 Niles Road, Franklin, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 2:05 p.m. at UPMC Northwest in Seneca, after a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Born December 2, 1950 in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Edith Jones Wood. She married Daniel L. Rockwell on September 21, 1973 and he survives. Prior to her retirement in April 2002, she had been employed with the U.S.D.A. Farmers Home Administration as a Secretary. Mrs. Rockwell enjoyed cross word puzzles, cross stiching, and bowling. She helped at Weller's Greenhouse. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and most of all with her grandson. In addition to her husband, Debra is survived by her sons: Stephen Rockwell and his wife, Carrie, of Winchester, Virginia, and Jason Rockwell of Franklin; and her grandson, Brayden Rockwell, of Winchester, Virginia. She is also survived by her brothers: Thomas Wood and his wife, Beverly, of Oil City, Robert Wood and his wife, Carol, of Seattle, Washington, and Daniel Wood of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; and her sisters, Mary Page and her husband, Homer, of Polk, Cheryl Zawrotuk and her husband, Ron, of Butler, and Dolly D'Ambrosia and her husband, Greg. In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by an infant sister, Dorothy Wood. Visitation and Funeral Services for Debra Rockwell will be held at the convenience of her family. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Kirtland Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 108, Franklin, Pa 16323 and/or the charity of one's choice.     I’m so sorry to hear of you loss. I worked with Deb for many years in our Butler Office, USDA. She was a genuine and sweet person. I’ll never forget her hearty laugh and her ability to make others smile. She will be sadly missed.

  8. I bowled with Deb & Mary and was on their team a few years back. I will always remember the big smile she would get when she would show me pictures of her grandson. She dearly loved her family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. She will be missed by many.
