Ruth J. Hovis Ruth J. Hovis, 79, of Franklin, passed away at 11:50 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010. Born February 7, 1931 in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Lillian Finch Stoltenberg. She was married January 20, 1952 to Claude Hovis who preceded her in death. Mrs. Hovis was a homemaker. She was a member of the Oak Hill Methodist Church and a life-long resident of the Oak Hill area. She is survived by her son, Albert Hovis and his wife, Cindy, of Camden, Arkansas and her step-daughter, Nancy Keith and her husband, Charles, of Franklin. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Benjamin Hovis and Michelle Hovis, both of Camden, Arkansas, Shannon Deal of Franklin, Ellisa Heckathorne and her husband, John, of Franklin, and Jamie McDonald and her husband, Stephen, of Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Nancy Louise Stoltenberg.
