Janice B Gordon

Janice B. Gordon, 69, of 298 Congress Hill Road, Franklin, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 18, 2008, at her residence. Born April 15, 1939, in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late William A. Maul Sr. and Esther Heffernan. Ms. Gordon retired from Polk Center in 1997 after 25 years of service as an RSA. She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers on TV; spending time with her grandson, family and many friends; and traveling to Carolina Beach, N.C., which was her favorite place to sit and watch the sun come up. Ms. Gordon is survived by two children, Michael G. Gordon and his wife, Patty, of Franklin, and Cindy Lou Gordon of Franklin; a grandson, Michael M. "Mac" Gordon of Franklin; and two sisters, Jean Dunlap of Jupiter, Fla., and Peggy L. Ward and her husband, Roy, of Franklin. In addition to her parents, Ms. Gordon was preceded in death by one son, William Gordon; and two brothers, Glenn T. Maul and William A. Maul Jr. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home Inc. in Franklin with the Rev. Linda Deeter officiating.
