Edward F. Cooper

Edward F. Cooper, 65, of 3130 Lamberton Road, Franklin, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born on Dec. 24, 1942, in Joplin, Mo., he was the son of Charles H. Cooper and Ellen M. McDonnell. Mr. Cooper worked for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board as an assistant manager. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during peacetime. He was a member of the Franklin Moose, Franklin VFW 1835, and the Eagles. Mr. Cooper enjoyed golf and playing pool. He is survived by one son, Daniel Cooper and his wife, Terri, of Taylorsville, Ky.; one daughter, Shelley L. Cooper and her fianca??, Brian Schramm, of Shadyside, Ohio; five grandchildren, Arden Cooper, Daniel Cooper, Mason Cooper, Samuel Cooper and Brynn Cooper, all of Taylorsville, Ky.; and one sister, Connie Ritchey of Polk. He is also survived by a special friend, Mary Maul of Franklin; and a host of friends and relatives. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc. of Franklin. There will be a memorial service at the Franklin VFW at a date to be announced.
