Obituary - Gerald A. 'Doc' Daugherty Gerald A. "Doc" Daugherty, 67, of 703 14th St., Franklin, died Tuesday morning, July 1, 2008, at his residence. Born Sept. 4, 1940, in Franklin, he was the son of Ethel Parker. Mr. Daugherty worked at Polk State Hospital as a kitchen supervisor. He was a member of VFW Post 1835 in Franklin. He is survived by two children, Brenda Adams and husband, Jimmy, of Newport News, Va., and Jerry Daugherty of Erie; two grandchildren, Nikia Graham and Cameica Everett, both of Newport News; four great-grandchildren, Adaizha, Tyquan, Latrell and Mela; and one brother, Melvin Heckathorn of Erie. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private funeral services will be held at the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home Inc. in Franklin. Interment will be at Cooperstown Cemetery.
