David Lewis Walton, II, 47, of Union City, died unexpectedly on February 7, 2022. He was born in Erie, PA on June 21, 1974 to Alice Baney and the late Chief Petty Officer, David Lewis Walton, I. David was a loving and devoted husband and father to Kelly (Wise) Walton, of whom he married on October 7, 2006, and his daughter, Alexis. In addition to graduating from Ft. LeBoeuf High School in 1992, he took classes at Mercyhurst University. He later joined the armed forces where he proudly served in the U.S. AirForce and spent time overseas in Korea. He was currently employed at the Albion Prison as a Corrections Officer, a job which he loved. In addition to his wife, daughter and mother, David is survived by his brother, Christopher Walton (Sarah) of Waterford; his mother-in-law, Betty L. Shepard, of Union City; his two sisters-in-law, Kim Sherman (Bill) of Fayetteville, SC and Christy Mitchell (Mike) of Cambridge Springs and his two brothers-in-law, Ron Dunlap (Jill) of Venango and Joe Wise (JoAnne) of Cambridge Springs. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald and June Walton, and Charles and Betty Baney; and his father-in-law, Joseph Wise. Friends and family are invited to call on the Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City, PA on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6pm to 8 pm. Funeral services for David will be held at the Union City Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 2 Dowman Street, Union City, on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11 am with Pastor Chad Capela, pastor of the Community Bible Church of Union City, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Erie/Crawford Veterans Burial Detail following the service. David will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Union City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in David's memory to the family c/o Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City, PA 16438 to start an educational trust fund for his daughter. David's final gift was to give the gift of life through organ donation.
