Dolores "Dodie" Rae Horner-Tatters, 41, of Harmonsburg, passed away peacefully at her residence on January 23, 2022 with her family by her side.
Born in New Castle, Pa on June 19,1980 she was the daughter of the Rodney and Anna (Quear) Horner of Harmonsburg, PA.
As a teenager, she was a Junior Firefighter for Summit Township Volunteer Fire Department. She was also a Girl Scout Troop Leader in 2009. She also attended Sunday School at Harmonsburg UMC.
Dodie was married to the love of her life, Scott Tatters on April 11, 2002.
She was a cook at Family Ties and enjoyed baking and crafting. She also enjoyed fishing, going on road trips and loved being around her great nieces. She also enjoyed driving in and attending local Demolition Derbies and riding the side by side.
Left to share her memories along with her husband is her son, Scott, Jr. of Harmonsburg; her daughter Megan of Harmonsburg; her sisters, Jen (Dan) Merriman of Meadville and Nikki (Jim) Floyd of New Castle; her paternal grandmother Helen (Horner) Patterson of Meadville and many nieces and 2 nephews. She is further survived by Marcus Hays, who was like a second son to her.
She is proceeded in death by her brother Rodney, Jr, and her twin sister Kathryn, her maternal grandmother Delores Kathryn Quear, her paternal grandfather Clarence Horner, her maternal grandfather Kenneth Quear, her uncle Kenneth Quear, Jr. "Kenny", her aunt Elisia Kurtz, and her fur pup Demo.
Friends and family are welcome to call on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. Funeral services will be immediately following at 3:00 pm at the funeral home on Saturday with Pastor Jim Tubbs, pastor of Harmonsburg United Methodist Church, officiating.
