Mona Lee DeVore Pero, 80, of Meadville, passed away, Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born January 8, 1941 at Spencer Hospital, Meadville, a daughter of the late Arden DeVore and Isabella Manuel DeVore.
She graduated from Meadville High School in 1959 and she was employed as a certified nurses aide for 10 years and an R.N. for 10 years at Meadville City Hospital.
In her younger years, she volunteered at Neason Hill School and Saint Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church. She had a very strong christian faith and a special love for her family.
She enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, doing different crafts, and biking when she was younger.
Mona is survived by her loving husband, Pat of 61 years; her children, Kimberly Pero, Patricia Michelle Pero, and Suzanne Pero; her grandchildren, Ryan Ketcham, Olivia Boyer and her husband Josh, Zach Jacob, Dylan Jacob abs his wife, Mali, and Jenna Jacob; her great grandchildren, Grady, Broden, and Nyla Ketcham, Lilah Rose and Athena Marie Boyer; and brothers, Robert and Timothy DeVore.
She was especially thankful for her family and Kindred Hospice for their loving care and comfort during life’s final journey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Richard DeVore.
Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday, December 17th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 18th at 10:00am at the funeral home with Father Joseph Petrone and Pastor Joe Frank, co-officiating. The funeral service will also be available live-stream on Mona’s Book of Memories online at www.WarrenFH.com at the bottom of her page via the webcast link.
Burial will take place in Saint Brigid Cemetery, Meadville.

May she rest in the arms of our Savior. I so enjoyed bringing communion to Mona who I worked with many years ago at MMC. After many years of losing touch, it was wonderful to reconnect with her in her last months. She was a beautiful soul.
