Raymond M. Blakeslee

Raymond M. Blakeslee, 78, of Saegertown, passed away, October 7, 2021 at Meadville Medical Center. He was born on October 2, 1943 a son of Edward Blakeslee and Lauretta Martin Blakeslee. He married Sue C. Eells on June 13, 1964. He was a 1963 graduate of Meadville Area High School and attended Hamlin Chapel. Ray enjoyed photography, hunting, fishing, and making tools and things he needed instead of going to purchase them. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue of Saegertown; a daughter, Laurie R, Eccles and her husband Daniel of State College, Pennsylvania; three sons, Kenneth R. Blakeslee and his wife Marilyn of Guys Mills, Daryl E. Blakeslee and his wife April of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, and Scott A. Blakeslee and his wife Denise of Allegheny, New York; five grandchildren; three sisters, Donna Hart of Meadville, Elaine Lener of Sarasota, Florida, and Lauretta Blakeslee of Meadville; an honorary daughter, Julie Denison of Meadville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Evan Blakeslee; a brother, Edward "Ted" Blakeslee; a sister, Marilyn Hannold; and his best friend, Dale Denison. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
