Augustine Family, may you find comfort in God’s promise at Revelation 21:3,4. “God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things has passed away.”
Although, you celebrated your 19th birthday a month before I came into this world, I can only imagine the emotions you must have felt after witnessing the birth of me, your first born son. The overwhelming joy and or fear you felt cradeling me in your arms against your chest shortly after birth is something I will never know or understand. The only irrefutable evidence you gave me is knowing that you loved me. You loved me enough to share your name with me adding “Junior” to my title. Dad, you leave me for a second with unanswered questions that have haunted me my entire life such as, why you walked away from me to never look back after the first two years of my life. How and why you evaded me during my search for you that has lasted decades. Although, sad to learn you are gone from this world, I have found peace knowing my search has finally come to an end.
I pray you soul is at peace. I love you Senior (Dad).
Your son,
Ricky Jr.
