Micheal L. Burton, 68, of Centerville, passed away, Friday May 21, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Union City on April 14, 1953, he was the son of the late Clair and Ida Burton. He joined the United States Army after leaving high school and was stationed in Alaska. Upon leaving the Army, he worked in railroad construction running heavy equipment with Delta Railroad Construction Company in Ashtabula Ohio, until he retired in 2013. After retiring, Mike liked to spend his time with his grandchildren, riding his four wheeler, going for pontoon boat rides on Canadohta Lake, and having bonfires. Gardening, Star Trek, and raising chickens filled the rest of his time. Mike also had an extensive collection of vinyl albums that he shared with family and friends along with his vast knowledge of the music and bands. He married his wife, Leslie, on September 18, 1976, who survives, they had 45 wonderful years. Together they made three beautiful children, Joshua Burton of Guys Mills, Cara (Rian) Doubet of Guys Mills, and Emily Jones of Meadville; seven grandchildren; Abigail, Tyler, Nolan, Ryker, Ezekiel, Jaslynn, and Kaydanse; also surviving are his siblings, Brenda Burton of McKean and Larry Burton of Union City. Preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Clair Burton Jr., David Burton, Judy Burton, and Linda Burton. Per his wishes there will be no service or viewings.   3. Uncle Mike, I will never forget all the time I spent fishing with you, and the many winters we spent on the ice. For several years we lived together on the road living the R&R life . You were one of a few that helped mold me into a man. You will be greatly missed ! Love you Uncle Mike.
