Robert A. Hays, 65, of Atlantic, passed away, Thursday, October 1, 2020 at his residence. He was born on August 20, 1955 in Geneva, a son of Samuel W. and Leora M. Turner Hays. He married Marie A. Schiava on December 1, 1973, she preceded him in death on June 11, 2020.
He enjoyed playing cards, woodworking, hunting, racing stock cars, and going to car shows.
Robert is survived by his two sons, Todd A. Hays of Edinboro and Troy R. Hays and his wife, Megan of Cochranton; three granddaughters, Emilee and Alivia Hays of Cochranton and Shea Hays of Edinboro; three sisters, Libby Woodcock and her husband, Howard of Saegertown, Eleanor Free and her husband, Jack of Burlhill, OH, and Joyce Hays of North East; a brother, John Hays of Atlantic; close cousins, Ron Hays of Meadville and Debbie Hays of Cochranton; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his loving wife, he is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Beverly McCord, Mary Lee Swope and Leora Katherine "Kate" Aikens; five brothers, David Hays, James Hays, Richie Hays, Dale Hays and Albert Hays.
There will be no services at this time.

I am saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. Both him and Marie were clients of mine – Bob and I always got along very well. We would joke around back and forth, always trying to make the most of boring insurance conversations, and mainly about how many doughnuts I was going to bring him to our next meeting. Thoughts and prayers go out to your family, I know this has to be very difficult.
