Robert Owen King, 73, of Union City, passed away, Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Corry Manor. He was born on March 25, 1946 in Ashtabula, Ohio, a son of Millard Orville King and Evelyn Mathilda Reiser King. On March 21, 1986 he married Teresa Regina Dudas, she survives. He was a 1964 graduate of Union City High School, a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He served his country during the Vietnam War from 1966 - 1969 and in Germany from 1979 to 1982. He was a member of the Union City Presbyterian Church, Union City Alumni Committee, the organizer for the Homecoming Parade, the local NALC Food Drive, and was the founder of Diversion Committee which he served on for 47 years. In addition of his loving wife, Teresa, of 33 years; he is survived by a daughter, Teresa Megan King; a grandson, Owen Cole King; three sisters, Ruth Anne Ahl and her husband Martin, Laura Jean Hewit and her husband Maynard, and Ella Rose Camplese and her companion, Don Kemmer; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and several other family members. Family and friends are welcome to attend a time of greeting on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm with a memorial service to follow at 2:00pm at Union City Presbyterian Church, 37 W. High Street, Union City, with Pastor Robert Willert, officiating. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations to be made to the family, c/o Union City Presbyterian Church, 37 W.   1. I have thought of you & Bob many times over the years. And am so sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you & your family at this time.

  2. Bob was one special man who took his job as Parade Chairman for our Union City Alumni very seriously. I enjoyed having him on the Association. He did many jobs beside the parade. He will be missed by many.
