William "Bill" L. Bennett, Sr., 68, of Townville, passed away, Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Titusville Area Hospital. He was born on June 7, 1950 in Meadville, a son of Cecil Bennett and Mary Phelps Bennett. He married Kathleen E. Colwell on June 19, 1971.
He attended Cambridge Springs High School and was employed with Mercer Spring and Wire.
Bill enjoyed hunting and in his earlier years bowling in a league.
In addition to his loving wife, Kathleen; he is survived by two sons, William L. Bennett, Jr. and his companion Flora Sutton of Townville and Eric J. Bennett and his wife Patsy of Munster, Indiana; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Jocelyn, Kyra, and Chapin Bennett; five sisters, Lynda, Jackie and her companion Dale, Deb and her husband Rik, Sue and her companion Ray, and Kandy and her husband Vic; a brother, Rex and his wife Janet; a mother in law, Pearl Colwell of Florida; and a brother in law, Howard Roxberry of Saegertown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Sandi and Bev; a infant brother, Richard; his father in law, William Colwell; and a brother in law, Jim Colwell.
Services will be private at a later date.
Burial will take place in Tryonville Cemetery.

I am so sorry for your loss! I have many of my childhood memories with him and your family. Uncle Bill was such a joy to be around and I will forever remember him. Sending prayers to all.

There are no words to say how very sorry I am for your loss! My goodness, thank God for our Memories! This just goes to show you, You just never know! Casey, I can remember our trips to Saegertown to visit Bill. We were still in high school! Please know, that you have all been in my thoughts & prayers! I have been thinking alot of our 50th Class reunion and just assumed Bill would be there. So Sad! Well, he will be there, for sure! I love you like a sister Casey! I know you have so much going on right now. May the Good Lord watch over you!
