MEADVILLE - Helen Marie Pisarcik Koczwara, 89 of Meadville, passed away at home, on Saturday, June 9, 2018 and joined her husband Ralph in Heaven to celebrate his birthday. She was born on April 26, 1929 in Wimber, PA, Somerset County. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Benko Pisarcik. She married her husband Ralph R. Koczwara on July 10, 1954, he preceded her in death on November 14, 1992. Helen was raised in Rossiter, PA and was employed at Lore Footwear, Rossiter, PA for five years before getting married and moving to Meadville. She worked for Meadville New Products for 26 years in Meadville until she retired in 1991. She enjoyed polka music and polka dancing. Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her two daughters, Diane (Mark) Minore of Meadville and MaryAnn (Richard) Williams of Hendersonville, N.C.; grandchildren, Joseph (Stacie) Peters, of Meadville; Michelle (James English) Peters of Linesville; Kyle (Melissa) Williams of Cochranton; Kristen (Donny Shay) Williams of Charlotte, N.C.; Lindy (Shannon) Minore and Joshua (Melissa) Minore all of Georgia; sisters, Dorothy (Pat) Hanley of Punxsutawney, PA; and Josephine (Roland) Miller of Ohio; also, four great grand daughters, one great grandson and one great grandson on the way; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Rypczyk; Sophie Grazulis; Elizabeth Necastro; Mary Pisarcik; infant sister Helen Pisarcik and two brothers, Joseph and Paul Pisarcik. Friends and family are invited to call the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335, on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335 at 11:00 A.M.. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Brittany and Amanda from Heartland Hospice in Hermitage, PA for the extraordinary care they provided for Helen and Wesbury Help at Home staff, especially, Michelle, Jodi, Rebecca, Tori, Ashley P., Ashley H., Darla and Melissa and also Dr. Suprys and her staff, Laura and Christine. They all made this journey easier for Helen and her family. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.   1. Helen was a dear worker at Meadville New Products and a dear friend. she was always at work every day and did excellent work and was friendly to everyone. She never complained and I can never remember where she made a mistake in her work. she was a devout catholic and I admired her for that and her love for her family. she missed Ralph. every time I would stop and see her, she would talk about Ralph and her family. God bless Helen’s family.

  2. MaryAnn , Diane and Family. I am sorry to see that your beautiful Mom has passed away. Helen was such a wonderful person and was so kind to everyone. She had always made me feel like family. She made the best stuffed cabbage rolls ever !! My love and prayers go out to all of you.
