Bruce Armstrong Hanna, 90, of Townville, passed away, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Crawford County Care Center. He was born on February 28, 1928 in Steuben Township a son of Walter J. Hanna and Gertrude Gillette Hanna. He served his county with the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. Bruce was employed with Conrock, as a salesman, owned and operated a Hardware Store, as well as a ranch all in Baldwin Park, California. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davison Motorcylce and was part of a Harley-Davison Club. Bruce moved back to the family homestead in 1977 and went to work for Lord Corporation and owned and operated a woodworking shop and a greenhouse with his partner Duane and his foster son Lester. Survivors include his foster son Lester (Roanne) Stanfill of Silver Springs, MD; grandsons, Scott (Jessica) Stanfill and Jacob (Daniele) Stanfill; brother Ronald Hanna of Simi Valley, CA; nieces and nephews, Thomas (Teri) Jones; Harry (Nancy) Jones; Judy Ridle; Jack (Mary Ann) Byham; William (Marsha) Byham; David Hanna; Laurie Jean Haley and Jay Hanna. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in passing by his partner Duane Hoges; brothers, Clair (Leona) Hanna; William (Margaret) Hanna; sisters, Irene "Tinker" (John) Byham; Helen (Lester) Jones; siblings that passed away in their childhood, June, Jack and Richard Hanna; also, nieces and nephews; James Hanna; Jack Hanna; Sue Marie Hanna and Richard Jones. Friends and family are invited to call the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 33353 N. Main Street, Townville, PA 16360, on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 2 - 4 P.M. and 6 - 8 P.M., a funeral service will be held there, Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.. Burial will be at Kingsley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
