Dennis Ellis Latta

Dennis Ellis Latta, 57, of Houtzdale, PA, passed away, on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center. He was born on September 4, 1960 in Meadville, a son of William A. Latta and the late, Jane Henry Latta. On September 24, 1994 he married Janice James, she survives. He was a foreman at SCI Houtzdale Prison, was a member of Vernon Central Township Fire Department, a member at Meadville Masonic Lodge 408 F&AM, New Castle Consistory, PMC Northwest Chapter, Order of DeMolay. In his younger years, Dennis enjoyed hunting. He loved watching his daughter, Ashley grow up, taking care of his home and most of all he cherished his wife and daughter. Dennis is preceded in death by his mother, Jane Latta, maternal and paternal grandparents. In addition of his loving wife, Janice of 23 years he is survived by his father, William of Meadville, daughter, Ashley of Houtzdale, PA and three brothers, William Latta and his wife, Debra of Cochranton, Tim Latta and his wife, Vicki of Conneaut Lake and Greg Latta and his wife, Beverly of Meadville, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. and funeral service to follow at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. Interment will take place at Fairfield Cemetery, Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania.
