April J. Proper, 61, of Union City, passed away, Thursday, May 10, 2018 into the arms of her Lord. She was born on April 23, 1957 in Union City a daughter of Harold L. Botsford and Iris V. Botsford Proper. She was a 1975 graduate of Union City High School following her graduation she attended Hamot Nursing School where she received her certification. April was employed with Union City Hospital, Byrons House, Pottstown, and Lakeshore Community Service. She cared for special need children, adults, did home care, and cared for her mother until her death in February 2015. April received many awards for her work. While waiting for hip surgery it was discovered she had cancer in February of 2018. April attended First Methodist Church and later the First Presbyterian Church of Union City. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, doing yard work, and cookouts. April is survived by two sons, Kody (Jonna) and Dylan of Union City; two grandchildren, Sophia and Micah which her the loves of her life; three sisters, Judy Norman and Monica Verbosky both of Union City and Yvonne Soety (John) of Byron, GA; two step-sisters, Brenda and Robin; many nieces and nephews; and her pets Myra Rose who is with her now and Booker. She was preceded in death by her parents. April wanted to thank her sister, Judy who was always by her side; her niece, Melissa for her hours of special care, several "school chums" who came to her aid, hospice, and the many prayers from the community and churches. A memorial service will be announced at a later date to be held at Union City Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are in the care of Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City.

  2. I’m so sorry for you loss Dylan and kody. Your mom was a great woman. Just remember she isn’t in pain anymore and she loved the both of you. Keep your chins up guys. Love ya both.
