Marianne Miller Cornish, 86, peacefully passed on March 1, 2018 in Aberdeen, NC. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 17, 1931. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years Donald B. Cornish, her grandson Cullen Cornish, and all of her siblings (Sis, Warren, Lois, Tom.)
She and Donald were longtime residents of Canadohta Lake, PA. She is survived by her three children Barbe Jay Clough and her husband Harvey of West Chesterfield, NH, Daniel Cornish of Pittsburgh, PA, Carol McWilliams of Aberdeen, NC and their niece Laura Cornish of Palmetto, FL. Marianne served as a matriarch to a legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who all adored her comfort, care, and honesty. She touched many lives and often started conversations with complete strangers that within a few minutes could feel her warmth and empathy. Many people knew her in the community as Marianne from Dr. Allanigue’s office, where she worked for over twenty years.
Burial will be private and a service to honor her will be held in July for family and friends to attend. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Critter Camp & Cuts Rescue 32708 Forest Home Rd, Union City, PA 16438 or to the Union City Public Library in her memory.
Arrangements are in the care of Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City, PA.
