Donald E. Poling

MEADVILLE - Donald E. Poling, 79 of Meadville, passed away, Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Meadville Medical Center. He was born on April 1, 1938, son of the late Clifford and Nettie Chilcote Poling. He married Jean Ganster on August 28, 1990. Don proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW, Eagles Club and the I.C.C.. Don enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling; drinking beer with his father-in-law, bowling, tinkerbell, old country music, fishing, softball, wood crafts, motorcycles and cooking. Survivors include his beloved wife of 26 years, Jean Poling of Meadville; his two sons, Sean Poling and his Fiancee, Brenda of Spartansburg; and Dennis Poling of FL; step son, Ryan Running and his wife Bridget of Ohio; and step daughter Shelley Bates and her husband Rick of Ohio; grandchildren, Jenny Jones; step grandchildren, Skylar and Makenzie Bates and Kaleb, Rylance and Brentley Running; four great grandchildren, Natily, Dakota, Steven, Zachary and Trinity; also one niece Cheryl Kamper of Spartansburg and many other nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Poling and grandson Adam Poling. Services will be held at the convenience of family at a later date. The Ryan M.
