Carl Chester Hopkins

TITUSVILLE - Carl C. Hopkins, 82 of Titusville, passed away, Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at his home. Carl was the son of the late Stephen Grant and Alice Proper Hopkins. He married Eleanor Haines on November 12, 1955.
Carl worked for Abex and at Penncrest School District. He was a member of the Italian Civic Club, the Eagles Club and most of all he enjoyed farming. He was a United States Army Veteran.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Eleanor Haines Hopkins of Titusville; two daughters, Peggy Jacquel and her husband David of North East; and Janice Harris and her husband Vincent of Ohio; two sons, Ronald Hopkins and his wife Charlene of Titusville; and Donald Hopkins and his wife Wanda, of Meadville; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Mullen, Shanel Hopkins, Jessica Weber, Jenny Barrett, April Boyden, Amy Harris, Mary Parkhill and Peter Jacquel; 11 great grand children and one brother, Robert Hopkins and his wife Martha of Meadville.
Carl was preceded in death by his sister Doris Cooper and brother Harold Hopkins.
Friends and family are welcome to a memorial service on December 12, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at the Chapmanville Community Church, 1043 Le Boeuf Trail Rd, Titusville, PA 16354, with Glen Van Cise officiating.

I have been out of town for several days and upon my return was SO saddened to read of Carl’s passing in the Herald.I’m very sorry for your loss. Always enjoyed being there around Carl while working on one of many projects for you and know how many physical issues he had over the years. Feel comfort knowing he suffers no longer.
