MEADVILLE - Richard J. Manross, 85, of Meadville, passed away, Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Westbury United Methodist Community. He was born on May 12, 1930, in Conneautville, PA; son of the late August and Hildegard Kubaney Manross. Richard married Florence Wood in 1949, she preceded him in death in 1999.
He worked at Malleable and for Advanced Cast. He enjoyed building, building cabinets, working on his cars and helping people build their homes.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife Florence Wood Manross; his son Richard Manross, Jr.; a grandson Ray Deeter, Jr., brothers, Harold, Roscoe, Kenny and Chuck Manross, and sister Dorothy Deross.
Survivors include his daughter, Lois Jones and her husband Daniel of Saegertown; two sons, Dave Manross and Ronald Manross of Saegertown; four grandchildren, Steve, Jared, Megan and Stephanie; one sister, Louise Rudy and her husband Marty of Cochranton; and one brother, Gene Manross and his wife Shirley of Saegertown, and sisters-in-law, Janis Manross, Esther Manross, Betty Wood and Shirley O’Neil.
Friends and family are invited to viewing Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 11:00 A.M., at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335, with Pastor Philip Torre officiating. Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 2115 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16508.

My deepest sympathies to you all. Uncle Richard was my favorite uncle and will always hold a special place in my heart. Please know that I can not attend his service due to my work schedule,but that my thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

My deepest sympathy to all. I am so sad to hear of uncle Richards passing. I remember him and Steve at the bowling alley every Tuesday.it was so nice to chat with him then.
