SAEGERTOWN - Sandra Jane Consla, 74, of Saegertown, passed away, Friday, January 23, 2015. She was born on June 18, 1940, in Mercer County. She is a daughter of the late Anna Mae McCarl. She married Richard Consla on April 10, 1959, he survives. Sandy enjoyed bird watching, drawing, painting, bowling, spending time with her grand kids and great grand kids, she also cherished the times when family and friends would stop over and enjoy coffee. Sandy is preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Consla and her mother, Anna Mae McCarl. Survivors include, her husband of 55 years, Richard Consla; three daughters, Carol Osborn and her husband Leonard of Farmdale, Ohio; Rose Acker of Saegertown; and Cathy Barr and her husband Jeff of Meadville; six grandchildren, Danielle Pipper (Dan); Carl Maynard (Kathi); Amanda Acker (Brad); Earl Acker (Jess); Georgette Hindman (Jason); and Brianna Maynard; also ten great grand children; Tyler, Molly, Victoria and Xavier Acker; Jaiden and Jenna Hindman; Brittnay Pipper and Andrew Molnar, Jasmine Ellis and William Pelley. Friends and family are invited to a gathering Saturday, January 31, at 4:00 P.M. until the time of the memorial service at, 5:00 P.M., at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA, 16335. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, 4961 Pittsburgh Avenue, Erie, PA 16509.   2. My condolences to Dick and the family. Sandy & I went to school together and rode the same bus. We would joke around and I nicknamed her “Bugs” as in Bugs Bunny, because she often would eat carrots on the way home. The one thing that I’ll always remember is Sandy helping Grandma stir the Apple Butter in that big black cast iron kettle over an open fire in the driveway. When was the last time you heard that?? I never did get any apple butter. I’m sorry for your loss. She was a swell gal in my book.
