Josephine M. Frisina

Josephine M. Frisina, 79, formerly of Alden Street, Meadville, passed away, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community. She was born on March 17, 1935 in Meadville, a daughter of Anthony Frisina and Ethel Fucci Vetrano Frisina. She was a 1954 graduate of Meadville Area High School. Josephine was a certified nurses assistant working many years at Spencer Hospital and Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community. She was a seamstress sewing many of her own dresses and suits. Josephine was devoted to her parents and caring for them at home. She is survived by a sister, Madelene Vilello of New York; four brothers, Ralph Frisina of New York, A. Paul Frisina of Texas, Michael Frisina of Texas, and Domenic Frisina of Meadville; several nieces and nephews; and two very close friends, Josephine Santoro and Toni Pierce. Josephine was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Karwash and her husband Roman Karwash; and her parents. A Mass of Christan Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 16th at 10:00am at Saint Mary of Grace, 1085 Water Street, Meadville, with Father Johnathan Schmolt as celebrant. Burial will follow at Saint Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township.
