Lucille Boyle Hanna, 86, of Townville, passed away, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 16, 1928 in Hydetown, Pennsylvania a daughter of Lawrence Boyle and Charlotte Bement Boyle. She married Ernest J. Hanna on August 9, 1947, he preceded her in death on September 6, 2011. She was very active in her community. Lucille was a member of the Townville Baptist Church, Townville Volunteer Ambulance Department where she served as Treasurer for many years, and served on the Townville auditing committee for several years. Before meeting her husband, Ernie she was employed by Mercer Spring and Wire Company, Rex Carpenter Packing Company, and Gillette's General Store. In 1951 she joined her husband in the family business Hanna's Hardware where they worked together for over 50 years serving the people of Townville and the surrounding area until their retirement. More than anything Lucille enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and many friends that she met through the hardware and Florida. Lucille enjoyed many years "wintering" in Ruskin, Florida with Ernie. She is survived by two sons, Donald J. Hanna and his wife Diane and Robert E. Hanna and his wife Linda all of Townville; three grandchildren, Ashlee Zmijewski and her husband Peter, Dustin Hanna and his wife Hilary, and Jared Hanna; three great-grandchildren, Sophia Hanna, Liam Hanna, and Andrew Zmijewski; two sister-in-laws, Lucille Hanna of Florida and Beatrice Hanna of California; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her loving husband, Ernie of 64 years; she was preceded in death by a brother, C. Merton Boyle; a twin sister, Lenora Bossard; two brother in laws, Jerry Bossard and Jack Hanna; and a sister in law, Jane Boyle. Family and friends are welcome to call on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Townville Baptist Church, 33274 Main Street, Townville. The funeral service will follow at 4:00pm with Pastor Bruce Moses of New Eagle, PA, officiating. Burial will follow at Kingsley Cemetery, Townville. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations may be made in Lucille's memory to Kingsley Cemetery, 32443 Guys Mills Road, Townville, PA 16360; or Townville Baptist Church, 33274 Main Street, Townville, PA 16360; or Townville Ambulance, 33441 N. Main Street, Townville, PA 16360; or Townville Fire Department., 33441 N. Main Street, Townville, PA 16360.     My deepest sympathies are sent to you at this time of the passing of your dear Lucille. I remember her so fondly in my days in Townville. I was always so fond of Ernie and Lucille, and looked forward to seeing them at gatherings in Townville and Florida. Now they’re all together on the Other Side, with Jerry and Lenore and the rest of the families.
