Kenneth I. Doolittle, 73, of Townville, passed away, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at UPMC Hamot in Erie. He was born on October 5, 1940 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, a son on A. Norman Doolittle and Gladys P. Shaw Doolittle. He married Alice V. Hogue on November 17, 1962. She survives.
Kenneth was a 1959 graduate of Townville High School and worked for Coca-Cola in Meadville for many years in machine maintenance.
He attended Townville Baptist Church in his younger years and enjoyed hunting, riding his four wheeler, and plowing snow.
In addition to his loving wife, Alice Doolittle of Townville; he is also survived by two daughters, Kimberly S. Nirmaier and her husband George of Townville and Patti J. Doolittle of Townville; a son, Ken R. Doolittle and his wife Brenda of Townville; grandchildren, Kenneth N. Doolittle and his wife Christina of New Jersey, Clay M. Doolittle and his wife Ashley of Townville, Tanner J. Nirmaier of Townville, and Sydney P. Nirmaier "his little girl" of Townville; a sister, Ruth A. Benedict and her husband Charles of Franklin; and his beloved dog, Lucy.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, N. Elaine McAlevy; and an infant brother, Ronald Doolittle.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Dear Alice, sorry to learn of Ken’s passing. Although we lost contact over the years, Ken and I were best of friends when we were young. I cherish the memories of those care free days as some of the best times of my life. My condolences to your family.
